Here is what happens when you browse, choose analytics or use an account. You can keep optional analytics off and still use the public site.
Who is responsible
WIFA Robotics, operated by William Farokhzad, is the contact for personal data processed for this site. For privacy requests, email hello@wifarobotics.com. Include enough information to identify the account or browser record involved; please do not email passwords.
Your first visit and cookie choice
On your first visit, optional analytics is off. The first notice offers “Reject optional”, “Save choices” and “Accept analytics”. The analytics box is unchecked by default. Closing the notice has the same effect as rejecting optional analytics. Your choice is stored in the necessary wifa_analytics_consent_v2 first-party cookie (yes or no) for approximately 190 days so the notice does not repeatedly appear. Use “Cookie settings” in the footer at any time to change or withdraw your choice. No marketing or advertising trackers are used by WIFA Robotics.
Declining does not restrict the public pages or account features. Changing from yes to no stops new analytics collection. The site also tries to remove visit records tied to this browser ID; if that request fails, the browser keeps the ID for a retry and you may contact us.

Browser storage technologies are covered by the cookie choice even when they are not technically cookies. Necessary account storage is used for a service you actively request, independent of the optional analytics choice.
What we process and why
Optional analytics: With your consent, the site stores the path of a page, visit timestamp, visible reading time and a random browser ID in its site database. It does not add your account email, name, raw IP address or advertising ID to those visit rows, and it does not combine analytics with account identity. The ID is pseudonymous, not anonymous. The legal basis is your consent (GDPR Article 6(1)(a)); accessing the browser ID also depends on that choice under the applicable cookie rules.
Accounts: If you create an account or sign in, your email and authentication information are used to provide that requested service (GDPR Article 6(1)(b)). The optional profile entered through ChatGPT sign-in records a user ID, email and display name in the site database. Email and Google member sign-in uses Supabase Auth; Google receives data only if you choose Google sign-in. The administration dashboard uses ChatGPT sign-in and is restricted to the site owner. Your choice about analytics does not affect signing in.
Basic operation and security: The hosting provider may process technical request information such as IP address, device details and server logs to deliver and protect the site. These hosting operations are separate from the optional analytics database. Contact us for current provider retention and transfer details. No automated decision about you or advertising profile is made from our first-party analytics.
Who may receive data and where
Site hosting and database services process the information needed to deliver the site. Supabase processes account authentication when that feature is used; Google is involved only if you select Google sign-in. ChatGPT sign-in handles the separate owner administration flow. These services have their own privacy information and may process data outside the European Economic Area under applicable transfer arrangements. For the specific provider configuration, storage location and safeguards applicable to your data, contact us. We do not sell visitor analytics or share it with advertisers.
How long data is kept
Analytics visit rows are available for up to about 13 months. Rows older than 395 days are removed when another analytics visit is recorded. Withdrawing consent triggers a request to erase visits associated with the ID currently stored in your browser. If you have cleared that ID or use another device, send a request to the contact above with enough details for us to help. A consent record is removed with the visits when browser erasure succeeds. Account data is kept while your account is active and handled upon a valid deletion request, subject to any applicable legal retention duty. Hosting and identity-provider retention may differ and follows their published terms.
Your rights
You may ask for access, correction, erasure, restriction or portability of your personal data, object where that right applies, and withdraw optional analytics consent at any time without affecting earlier lawful processing. Contact hello@wifarobotics.com with the request and enough information to locate the record. You may also complain to the Italian data protection authority (Garante) or your local supervisory authority.
To change your analytics decision yourself, select “Cookie settings” in the footer. Blocking JavaScript prevents optional analytics from running.
